Research Activities:
Dr. Hayat Soytaş studies the development of high-capacity anode materials for lithium- and sodium-ion batteries, development of catalyst/electrodes for PEM fuel cells, synthesis of organic/inorganic hybrid polymers, development of nanofiber-based hybrid nanostructures via electrospinning for energy storage and conversion applications as well as development of nanofiber/natural clay antibacterial nanocomposites via green electrospinning for biomedical and food packaging applications. Dr. Hayat Soytaş’ earlier work includes the development of novel epoxide initiators for isobutylene polymerizations and investigation of living/controlled carbocationic polymerizations.
